Blah Blah Blog...

This weekend I managed to hit:
A Wedding
A Birthday
And a funeral...

In three consecutive days. In that order...

These three events, included the obvious emotions.
Awkward joy, extreme joy and grief. In that order...

Of course, nothing is that basic.
There are so many "in-between" emotions, such as the ones you get when you:

• Re-organize your thoughts about the concept of marriage as you are surrounded by an over-the-top display of female vanity (in what is meant to be the sacred union of two people)

• Have surprise visit from out-of-town friends (and surprising your other friends while you're at it) and then surprising yet another set of friends by crashing their beach party (I use the term "crashing" loosely)

• Hang out with your close friends while you have strange conversations about ethics, religion (and sexual orientation) under the stars at 3am

• Catch a glimpse of your favorite constellation and pointing it out to new eyes as you indulge in food and drink.

• Receive bad news while you are influenced by the indulgence of food and drink and holding hands with your friends as you literally have a shoulder to cry on.

• Re-bond with family in a way that only "loss" can bring about, as you re-organzie your thoughts on the concept of death (and life)...

With all those factors combined, I think I went through the entire spectrum of human emotion...
